It's been 17 years years since the March 1989 Cold Fusion announcement. Since then, Cold Fusion has been more appropriately renamed Low Energy Nuclear Reactions(LENR), but the "classic name" Cold Fusion is still widely used. Confusing the issue in search engines is the fact that a major web site development package is also called " Cold Fusion". Classic CF or not, the original name will probably be used interchangeably with LENR for years to come.

In fact, the phenomenon is also converging on a number of areas, including condensed matter theory and new experimental techniques.   As material science techniques improve along with data acquisition methodologies, so do the demands of investigating the variety of ways to stimulate LENR and the funding and partnerships to do so. A few retired researchers are quite fortunate to pursue this interesting field full-time, but most subsist on pay from their normal job and devote as much time to this field as possible. However, increasingly more sophisticated equipment will be needed as synthetic surface and bulk lattice studies progress making this field difficult for small experimenters who might lack sophisticated equipment.

We also hope the modest efforts of this web site will provide a "one link jump" to a variety of LENR and technology related activities normally found in various locations on the web. By building synergies, perhaps we can help fellow researchers become aware of a wide variety of activities that intersect with this growing field along with the public impressions that appear to be emerging along with it. Be aware however that sites external to this one are beyond our editorial control so if the links lead to strange, controversial or even interesting materials ..well thats the future of web right? ..one link at a time. It is also hoped that science oriented students not adept at "web drilling in google"will also find this site interesting for project ideas and links to various resources and topics to stimulate their young imaginations..our future scientists and engineers. Students please DO be carefull with what you may find out there . Study all the safety issues beforehand. Don't be afraid to ask the experts out there.

No single web site could possibly track all the related technology developments that might intersect the LENR field, so this is where visitors come in. If there are News and or Web Site related links you would like to see listed here, we ask visitors to this web site to please send them via email and we will be happy to list them as we update this site from time to time. We can't link to everything out there, but we'll certainly try. The best way to be listed is to have a site or news related item that's relevant to this field in some way with a URL link. Thank you for your help.
